Hey Spook,

Sorry for your dilemma.  I have experienced it a few times over the years, so I trade bikes to "scratch the itch".  I don't think there is anything wrong when you get bored with a bike.  There are so many great bikes out there, so why not check them out?  I went from an '06 SEUC to a BMW GSA, then 990 KTM, then 1190 KTM (nothing like 150 hp in a 550 lb bike!)

However, I still dig Harleys...warts and all, and I often wish I still had my 06 back (wife insists only one bike at a time  :( ).  My advice is to keep the Harley for now, but do scratch the itch with the BMW or whatever else you want to try!

Seem to be a common issue. My CVO sits as garage art as well while I ride the GS.

Fun factor and capability of the bikes don't even come close. GS wins all the time.

Just wanted to update the board.  The CVO is going to the dealer this week with an agreed upon 30K to me upon sale and first right of refusal on a new CVO when if that time comes.  It will also count as a trade for sales tax purposes for one year.  May have sellers regret, but for now it seems the prudent path to take as I rarely ride my HD.  And that is not in any way a meant as disrespect for the brand or this CVO.  Thanks for the replies.

Thanks.  Count on it.  I have to many HD t shirts to abandon the brand!

Just putting my CVO back on the road after the winter lay up. Very late as I got a KTM1290 Super Adventure in April. What a bike, so different from the CVO.

Took the covers off the SERK today and it stated first crank after 8 months. I am really looking forward to getting some road time in on it. It's a bit like trying to compare digital with analog, totally different experiences.

For the OP, you always make the right decision based on the information you have at that time. Cash gives you choices and it seems like a good number they are offering. Good times on two wheels, regardless of brand is what it's about.

So the dealer has agreed to give you about invoice on a new 2016 FLHXSE IF one of their customers just has to have your 2015.
Not a bad deal if it happens. First right of refusal? What is that worth? I think your bike will probably sit around the dealer's lot for a while unless they get a customer that likes yours so much better than a new 16 (which very easily could happen, I am not saying it won't but I'm skeptical). Personally, I think you should keep it in your garage, try to sell it yourself or keep it if you don't need the $$. Either way, good luck. I hope it works out for you.

They have 30 days.  If it sells fine.  If not it comes back home.  No big deal either way as money is not an issue.  Just hate to see a bike sit and depreciate while I am off doing other things.  One must remember I live in the tundra so we have an relatively short riding season.  And then everything is encapsulated in ice for 7+ months.  It will be interesting to see what happens.  Thanks for the replies.
