Stock 04 FLHTCSE Air Filter/Cleaner Cover
« on: December 04, 2007, 10:35:09 PM »

Boy, buying a SE Bike is full of surprises for supposedely a High Performance Bike oit sure lacks in some areas.

For now the Air Filter Assembley, took off the Air Cleaner Cover and to my surprise I see a paper air filter element, which seems to me to be a stock air filter, this in a high performance engine? The plastic backing plate seems to be stock except for a couple of extra opening for better air flow.

Ok for you guys who changed out the Air Filter Assembly, what have you gone with. K&N for the filter, Arlenn Ness Big Sucker for complete assembly or the HD SE Assemblie?

Thanks,

geezerglide

I went with the Arlen Ness Big Sucker Stage 1 with chrome backplate so I could keep the same AC cover. If you go with stage 2 it is  a deeper filter for more airflow but you may have to change the cover so the filter isn't exposed.
