I am hoping to install my billett brothers license plate frame this weekend. Installation will require tying into brake and running lights. It was  suggested that I just tie into the electrical lines and solder the new connections.  Do I need to disconnect battery terminals, pull any fuses or do anything other than leave the ignition switch turned off so as to avoid the possibility of any electrical mishaps? tia, jj.

Just leave the bike off, you'll be ok.....

I like the idea of moving the plate down, but unlike some of the earlier years, we don't have the SUBTOTRF. Ours is a nice cloisonne emblem.

Is there a plate relocation product that doesn't cover up the fender bling?

Check it out. Bad picture though

I"m not sure if  you were asking about my install or not, but here goes. I just drilled two holes in the support that is "under" the fender. NO HOLES DRILLED IN FENDER ITSELF! The 3163 frame has a slot in it that goes over the frame holder then the two holes are self explanatory. Hope this helps, if not, l can take some pics.

Hey

I love how you installed your plate.  My bike is at the dealer currently getting tour pack removed. I ordered the Kuyrakan plate you have but they could not figure out how to mount it under the brake light without drilling holes in the rear fender.   I would love to have it how you did it!!  Do you have any pictures available.

I think if its not to complicated I might try it myself.  Any help you could offer would be great!!

Thank you!!
