Fault Codes

Where can I find the various fault codes when the check engine light comes on?  Have the service manual and can't find anything there.  Are they listed in the electrical manual?

Friend with an '06 SEUC been having check engine light come on intermittently and I'm trying to help him id the problem.

Jim, why didn't you make that a "sticky"? I was looking all over for that the other day.
