I used it today again and found out I didn't have to do anything but just plug it in, and it recognised it as a CD player. I guess the 00 radio doesn't have the issues...or at least the red ones don't:2vrolijk_21:  Doc

Same here.  I've used mine several times with the Garmin on the handlebars.  Plug it in and the unit is seen just fine.  The aux function is displayed as "CD" but the function works just like it's supposed to.

I think it must be that red bikes are just exceptionally smart.  On Monday the UPS driver delievered the harness for the trailer hitch (had been mistakenly omitted from the box of hard parts).  So go out that evening and take an hour to put it all on the bike.

Battery is unhooked for about an hour.  Hook it back up and the clock is still accurate.  That is one smart bike :2vrolijk_21: .
