a friend of mine stopped by today on the same bike ( just different color ) it looks really nice other then the tag bracket, and the spikes on the rear lights.

whats TC think of the funny heel shifter?

Neal, I'm a toe shifter, so the heel shifter is just there in case the other one breaks or something...I may try it again on this bike, since it looks like it may be easier to slide your heel up on an off.  Just never have gotten used to not being able to "feel" the gears with my toe.''

The pointy turn signals on the back are a matter of taste...I like 'em, as it goes with the flow of the bike lines, but I can see where some would not.

They do remind me of this though...

Nice bike.  I have a 2007 v-star 1300 with 11,000 miles on it which I drive to work every day.  I haven't had a single problem with it.  The engine heat is absolutely no problem with the liquid cooling.
