Ole Brother Hubbard,

There is a very simple solution to this quest, let your fingers do the dialing and ring your neighbor and ask Gerald.   I am quite sure about the shipping and how they are being shipped as this was verified with Karen at BUB.   I was told to use the 2 1/4 for the 103 engine unless I wanted more Bark / sound then the 2 1/2 but it would hurt me a bit down low and help me on the top end.   Being a bagger I wanted the down low so I changed.   On the road king with the 124 I have the 2 1/2's and they wake everyone up for miles, but it runs good.

Tbone,

I would do this I would run the 2 1/4 and see how you like the bike.  Give the pipes / baffle a fair shake for say a thousand miles after you get the bike Dyno Tuned.   Then when you have the itch pull out 100 saved duckets and put in the 2 1/2's and ride the bike some more and decide for yourself.   Its not only numbers your dealing with here its also what you like.

If you decide to come to daytona I will gladly lend you my 2 1/2's to try in your bike as well you will be able to listen to them on my road king.

Tbone,

In perspective,

I didnt have to and the bike ran great for me.   I probably could have to get every little bit out of it, but it ran well enough that I didnt bother.

Just an update on the Rinehart install, I got the bike back from the dealer on Saturday and man... what a difference.  I love the sound and the bike feels much stronger than it did before.  The HP numbers came out at 94.56 and the torque was 96.23.  The A/F ratio was almost flat throughout the rpm range at around 13.8 so I'm very happy.  I was hoping for a little better numbers but I'm still happy with the feel.  My only concern left is the bracket on the rear headpipe, is there a way to tell if I have the new one or the old one?
