I did tell one of the neighborhood females about the internet on the radio and showed her the hand controls (scrolling and mouse buttons).  I told her I'd show her, but the bike needs to be outside to get a good connection.  I got slapped when I told her that wasn't true.  I think next time around, I'm going to have to tell somebody how you can watch DVD's on the radio screen (widescreen ratio of course).

One of the salesmen at the dealer I got mine told me "We've done a lot of work to this thing and added a lot of extras." My salesman told me he was an idiot and never heard of a CVO. " Great product knowledge" was my reply. Glad at least my salesman knew his chit!

I am definitely finding this to be true... being a first time HD owner, I have taken the opportunity to try and talk bikes with other HD riders I run in to... when I tell them what I got, I used to expect a "WOW" when I tell them I got a CVO Road Glide... but most of the time the reaction I get seems to indicate they don't realize what I'm talking about. It isn't until I tell them it cost $30K that they suddenly realize it isn't "just" a Road Glide.

I guess I didn't realize that not everybody, even Harley owners, aren't sitting on the edge of their seats, counting down the days to see the new CVO models when they are unveiled.  I remember being so excited when I found pics of the 2009's a few days before Harley put them on their website and saw those CA EPA data sheets (or whatever they are called) seeing what models were coming.  I suppose the mainstream is in enough of a sticker shock with the standard models, that they don't even venture into digging up what may be far out of affordability range.

The people I normally ride with know the SE's.  Two of my riding buds also have SEUC's and another has tried to build his 08 UC into a SE, but after $50,000, he's still lacking heated seats, heated grips, XM, GPS, upgraded wheels, and the SE paint job, and probably a few other luxurys.  His 113" build is pretty awesome though.  My entire HOG chapter came outside as a group to look over my bike at a meeting.  They looked like a big group of hungry barbarians that just found food.  I have to say, that made me feel pretty good.

I do tell them that, but it seems that most people are more impressed that the seats are heated than anything else on the bike.  Go figure! :nixweiss:

This might be because most find CVO bikes highly out of reach financially.

I drooled over them for years..... and almost bought a CVO Ultra last year during a special financing offer (Anniversary models @ 1.05% for 36 months) but there werent any left... so I bought the Street-Glide....

Then in July, Moco indicates the 09 CVO Lineup would include a RG...

I looked at the SG, and said fugg-it... I paid it off and dropped the order for the CVO-RG

The remark I get is "Nice paint job.  Who did the work?"  When told it is stock, I'm immediately labeled as FOS......likely based on that it might be true.........or because they factor my engine into the equation.  Anyway, the green bike always draws a crowd around here.  One other person in Meridianville has a melon (copy cat keeper upper since he bought his a week after I bought mine).  He never rides it, and it truly is stock.  When our bikes are side-by-side, we're usually quizzed about which local painter did both jobs.

Some folks just don't get it.  Perhaps need to start toting a 2006 brochure........

Nah........like the mystery too much.

As we all all know, SE is the best bang for the buck that you can get from HD. I'm glad that most people don't realize that. They buy a standard bike for $ 20,000,   in about  years they put another $ 10,000 in it, and when it's to trade, they receive trade in LESS all the stuff they put on the bike............................................................................been there done that. :P
