First the cooler is not blocked by the bracket,  the mounting bracket is an important part of the over all design. For years Jagg and other manufactures always mounted their coolers "face first" into the wind, and in many cases still do, however Jagg (& others) working  with NASCAR and other racing programs have determined (NASCAR HAS PLEANTY OF $$$ FOR WIND TUNNEL TESTING that coolers cos. donot) that if the cooler was placed "edge on" with a "lift" (part of the bracket) in front that a low pressure area was created on the inside of the cooler pulling more air at higher pressure though the cooler than when mounted "face forward".  Now you know too.   Doc. I am still awaiting my oil temp gauge, as soon as I get some temp info I will forward it along.   :-[
