The people I ride with would never touch my bike with out asking.  A few of them, I trust enough that I have offered to let them ride my bikes.  I have even lent a bud a bike when theirs was down.  Of course this guy  had lent me a bike a couple years earlier when I had mine only bike down for buiding the motor.  I never asked to barrow his bike, he called me and told me there was a good week end ride, and he wanted me to use his other bike.
