the guy just cannot keep his hands off my 09 SERG, i have issued multiple warnings of DO NOT touch the bike, it took everything in my power not to punch him yesterday, do CVO owners have to ride with other CVO owners to prevent this from happening, I also own 2 other bikes, it must be an envy thing that finally reared its ugly head, just blowing off some steam and want to know if anyone else has experianced this!

  • CVO's.... the ONLY way to go!

Guess everyone is different and I know several guys that don't want anyone riding, sitting on, touching or even looking funny at their bikes.  However, myself any one that is a true friend and I know can ride is always welcome to ride my bikes.  Sounds like you didn't really like this guy anyway and this was just the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back.

Different strokes for different folks.... have no prob with anyone being protective of their shtuff!

I hear ya there.  You can definitely tell a biker from a non biker.  Bikers respect others' bikes while non bikers just walk up and touch, run their smudging hands all over it and treat as if it is an unlocked car at a dealership.  I don't care what bike I may want to look at. Harley, Honda, crotch rocket, ect...  I still talk to the owner about things I want to see and I always ask them to show me.

Yeah butt....

Isn't there a difference between a stranger on a parking lot (who best keep his hands off) and someone you've been seeing-dating-shagging-whatever for five years?

This is definitely one of those "to each his own" things.  Just seems odd that someone that's probably seen you naked can't touch your bike.  Anyone I know if I told her she couldn't even touch bike she'd tell me that night the bike wasn't the only thing not being touched.

First, you're from The Great State of South Cakalacky, so you should know which end of a double barrel means business. On the second note, W'all (that's collectively the group of fine CVOers) are heading up to your neck of the woods in a few weeks for some fun ridin. Mostly folks on their own CVO's who appreciate the time, money, and lust spent on these fine motorsickles. Here's a good place to start your readin lessons.

Any udder questions, just PM me.

stemp1,

Riding with only CVO riders won't help, either.  There's a j@C&a$$ CVO rider locally who just has to rub his hands on my tank, telling me that he really likes the color anytime I do a local ride.  I've told him not to touch the bike, I"ve parked in the far ends of the parking lots, etc, etc.  Somehow he always manages to get to my bike.  Funny, I've quit doing many of the local rides.  They're getting pretty lame, anyway.

Went on a local ride with some so called friends - I walked up and they were using my trunk for a picnic table - had their drinks sitting on the trunk and one of them even had their hot dog & fries propped between the trunk railings. I was so upset I had to walk away, got another friend to tell them to move.  They left greasy fingerprints on the passenger backrest. Oh yea... this was only the 2nd time I had riden the bike! - We don’t ride with them anymore…

I think I would have walked up and OPENED the tourpak.  Tough sh-t if their stuff went flying.  A-holes anyway.  How can people be so stupid and still walk upright.

I had a similar thing this past Sunday.  Went to a local bike night, parked the bike- my old wide gilde, no less, and these 2 fidiots walk up to her and start pushing on the seat, testing it for comfort!!  I walked back to the bike, told them since they didn't own the bike, they needed to keep their f-ing mitts off!  The stupid b!$ch looked at me like I was the devil, but they then walked away.  I just don't get it.  Simple respect for other people's property.  Where the hell has it gone????
