If you believe it to be an idle learn issue on a Drive By Wire bike, the procedure for reset is as follows. Start engine and ride bike until warmed up. Stop and park the bike and take you right hand off the handle bars! With your RIGHT hand reach over and switch the main power off. That's the one that the key goes in not the handle bar switch. Allow it to sit for 30 seconds. Restart the bike without out touching the handle bars and let it idle for 30 seconds, shut it off the same way as described above. Do this 4 times in a row and the idle learn is reset.

There is also an updated program the dealer can install for this issue as well.

Thanks for this info....will try it for my idle reset.....if only that easy for a hydraulic clutch.

The issue comes about from the rider leaving there hand on the throttle when turning the engine off. What it does is twist the throttle just a very small amount but the ECM see's it! Over time the ECM learns the offset caused by you the rider shutting it off with the throttle slightly twisted. Then newer reflash just adds a delay in the code before it reads the throttle when shutting down. The idea is the the rider lets go of the throttle when getting off teh bike and it seems to have fixed it.

Best way I know of to avoid the entire issue is to shut the bike down using the right hand to turn the ignition switch.

Give it 2 seconds and turn off the bike with the right hand......these new bikes are smarter than I am...good info Steve....thanks

I know some people have problems with zippers customer service(or not) but I have to say I have been using a Tmax
with autotune for  2 years now, have changed my engine config a lot in that time and every time the autotune has
done a very good job, With regard the SE50mm throttle body, change the inlet manifold flanges as they have a problem with cracking, I use the zippers ones, and as  previous posted check your throttle plate with feeler gauges
to make sure you have the proper clearence when closed, there is a small adjusting screw to set it.
