Congrats GC.  We all know the gestation period has been agonizing.  As you said the weather sucks here this weekend.  Maybe you can go to the nursery and look through the window as the changes are being done.  Tuesday will be here before you know it.

Hope the paint is perfect.

Hope to see you on the road.

Finally got it!!!!!  Dealer called yesterday @ 9:30 and said it was ready to go!!!! By 12:30, I was there and pulled in the driveway at home at 3pm. Wow, I feel like a kid at Christmas. Just kinda want to jump up and down. But, that's about all I can do as we are socked in with fog, drizzle, and rain. Weekend does look good though. This is one beautiful bike. Friends came by and looked, family came by and looked, and I just stood there and looked at it until bedtime.  LOL  Trying to figure out all the radio controls and how to adjust the backrest. Changed the windshield out, removed the heel shifter and went thru all the stuff that comes with it.  Now, the question that everybody wants to hear, the PAINT.  So far, so good, but, like I said earlier, we are and have been fogged in for two days now and the bike went from their shop to my trailer, to my garage, so I haven't really seen it in any kind of decent light. Right now, I just want to ride. Even took few comp days off so I can play with my new toy. Oh well, off to the garage.

Later, Robert    ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

I spent the morning adding a few chrome goodies that I had saved off my old bike, moved the tour pack back, checked the air in the shocks, (0 psi ),  added my battery tender and Gerbing connections, tried to adjust the backrest and also played around with wires that go to the saddlebag latch and spoiler lites. Had the dealer do it, but it's not neat enough for me. I need to get some of those stick on wire holders. Then I cleaned a little more.  Then, with the fog and the mist and the rain, I said F it, I'm going for a ride. Only went a little over 5 miles, but at least I got my maiden voyage in. First impressions are very good. The 3.37 gearing makes the bike feel very light.  V&H duals and basic slip ons are a little loud, but I won't know for sure till I get some miles under my belt. Overall very pleased. Motor is very quiet, no clacketty sounds like my previous 106". One thing I extremely pleased with is the lighting. I did the panacea tailight and turn signals, the LED spoiler lites and also the saddlebag latch lites. Looks very good. My original concern was the lack of lighting, but now it's cool. My only complaint so far is the backrest. Kind of a PITA to deal with, but once I got it set, it's OK. Sure like the old style adjust on the fly much better.

As dry as it's been here for the last six months, I hate to complain about the rain, but I sure need some good weather for more break in miles.  I'll drop off the throw away camera with the birthing pictures off tomorrow. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
I'll probably need some help posting pics. My slow dial up cancels out before pics load up.

I'd have bet a ton of money you couldn't stay off the new scoot until the weekend!  BTW, if you have trouble uploading the pics, PM me and I'll give you an email address...be happy to size them and get them up on the site.

Thanks guys.  Tomorrow now looks promising. Cloudy and cool, but dry. Damn weather people change the forecast every hour. Either way, I'm in the breeze.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
