I spent the morning adding a few chrome goodies that I had saved off my old bike, moved the tour pack back, checked the air in the shocks, (0 psi ), added my battery tender and Gerbing connections, tried to adjust the backrest and also played around with wires that go to the saddlebag latch and spoiler lites. Had the dealer do it, but it's not neat enough for me. I need to get some of those stick on wire holders. Then I cleaned a little more. Then, with the fog and the mist and the rain, I said F it, I'm going for a ride. Only went a little over 5 miles, but at least I got my maiden voyage in. First impressions are very good. The 3.37 gearing makes the bike feel very light. V&H duals and basic slip ons are a little loud, but I won't know for sure till I get some miles under my belt. Overall very pleased. Motor is very quiet, no clacketty sounds like my previous 106". One thing I extremely pleased with is the lighting. I did the panacea tailight and turn signals, the LED spoiler lites and also the saddlebag latch lites. Looks very good. My original concern was the lack of lighting, but now it's cool. My only complaint so far is the backrest. Kind of a PITA to deal with, but once I got it set, it's OK. Sure like the old style adjust on the fly much better.
As dry as it's been here for the last six months, I hate to complain about the rain, but I sure need some good weather for more break in miles. I'll drop off the throw away camera with the birthing pictures off tomorrow. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
I'll probably need some help posting pics. My slow dial up cancels out before pics load up.
