I guess I was thinking if it is as easy as drilling some new holes I would rather go that way.  But it sounds a little more involved than that, I most likely will go with the George Anderson bracket.

G Andersons's kit is well built but when mounted it can be seen from the side and the rear of the tourpack. He needs to develope a groove on each side of the plare bottom so the tourpack support bar fits into his relocation plate. Then the tourpack would fit flush and sit lower. Kinda like the "guide grooves" that are molded into the underside of the tourpack.
That is what is holding back.  Not a big fan of the bracket being exposed.  I like your way but not a fan of grinding the ridge on the tourpak either.
Wife doesn't really think it needs to be moved anyway so maybe I will just wait and see if something I like more comes along.

Thanks egultrac

The grinding is done to the bottom side of the tourpak?  As in plastic/fiberglass (whatever it is made of).  I assume the ridges that you speak of are the ones molded into the bottom of the tourpak, built to form around the round metal support bracket.

Could I talk you into some more photos not focused on the bracket to see how noticeable it is.

Thanks
