jeff your fairing-radio bracket may be broke-cracked also. this causes the damage to the radio described in the earlier threads.

I have had that fairing off so many times, I can do it my sleep. The Brackets are just fine (I checked them everytime I have it off)

Jeff,

We rode 780 miles this weekend.  My radio quit half way through the day Friday.  Works every now and then... usually early in the morning.  It didn't work at all yesterday.  Went out in the garage this morning and it works fine... I think it's heat related -- it's been over 100 here for the past few days.

Anyway, I am taking it in this morning.  Will let you know what they tell me.

I have not had time to look at mine  (been riding), so I am waiting to hear what is going on with yours.

Mine only went off to never come on again........still think it is the amp or a connection

the iron cross fix is permenent. the new radio from the dealer will also do what the one u have now is doing.that is my understanding

And they throw a refurb unit back in and your are stuck with it.. mine wasn't ever right on my '06 haze. I'd send it to Iron cross in a minute, You will get your radio back and be pleased... can't put a price on that..
