Did you all ever almost run into ea. other?  Sometimes with no other traffic it seems as if you have a tendency to get like magnets out there....at least that's been my experience.  :confused5:   spyder

We have 10 years experience of riding pretty closely together in staggered formation, the European roads are much smaller and more congested, a few times we rode side by side on the deserted roads.

The only time we got to close on this trip was when we suddenly hit the sudden Hail shower by Panguitch, we were doing approx 50mph, Isi slowed down and I was so mesmerised by the sudden change in conditions I had to brake a little to avoid her, the back locked up and slid out a little so I just released the brakes and took another line (very carefully) and we continued rolling about 10mph until we were clear of the shower.
Instinct clicked in, thats not something you can practise on these experienced rider courses, you either get away with it or not on each event

Firstly I will again write my apologies for not hooking up with any of my forum friends

Ice, you don't need to apologize to anybody. I saw an opportunity to bust your balls and did it for a bit of humor.

What an adventure for you two to fly roundtrip across the Atlantic and then the North American Continent to take a 10 day ride on Harleys through the Western US.

I wish the weather had been better so you didn't have to rush through some of the spots you wanted to stop.

You planned a great route for adventure and your report showed it.

Pat yourselves on the back, you guys deserve it.

ICE, didn't know you and Betty Boop were tight! Very nice ride diary and photos! Even with the problems it still looked like a fun and relaxing trip. Thanks
