Tour Pak Bracket
« on: January 15, 2012, 10:02:26 AM »

Does anyone know if the Tour Pak Bracket for touring bikes will fit the convertible with thw 200mm tire?
I'm going to get the chopped tour pak for long rides.
Maybe I'll just modify one if neeeded.

Paconico:

The Tour Pak Bracket does not fit the convertable.    The 200mm tire requires a wider frame and HD has not made a wider bracket yet, although lots of the newer softtails have the 200 now.

I modified one to fit my 2010.  Cut it down the middle and added an inch so I could use it as a platform to mount bags.  If you want to mount the tour pack, it IMHO could be done.

The spacing on the quick mounts ARE the same.

The leather tour pak makes the bike look cheap, that's why I'm going with the Street Glides chopped tour pak.
