My Right Bub muffler has a yellow ring about 2" wide right next to the clamp. I frequently drag the mufflers going in and out of parking lots over curbs etc... usually only with bsr on board. Starting to piss me off and she got mad at me last week when I asked her if she is gaining weight when I drug the muffler 3 times in a very short distance. Mostly do to chitty roads and parking lots around here. I don't like the big cutout in my front pipe heat shield (V&H X pipe)
for the floorboard bracket which I have spaced out and is a big eyesore. I have a excessive need to keep changing stuff even when it don't need to be changed! These forums are not helping my issues either! I have been looking around for a black system for awhile now. I like the looks and have read allot of good feedback on the Drago's Dragula system. It's a 3 step 2-1 header with a 4" muffler. pipe is chromed inside and out then the heat shield is black powder coated and the muffler is Teflon coated. I will have a match ghost pipe on the left. Frank there tells me he has this pipes on high horse power bikes for 2 years and still look like new. This pipe will be great when I do further mods down the road. Reputable Dyno tuners are saying good things about this pipe! That's pretty much it. If Bub made the boom can in black I might have considered it But I think the black X pipe is over priced? FACE
AGAIN... I just installed the
Drago's S/C/S-4 on Buster about a month ago. I LOVE this pipe! The Dragula has stepped headers, while the S/C/S-4 has 1 3/4" straight headers. Frank says the S/C/S-4 is good for up to 130 HP or more, and the straight headers help with lower-RPM torque... which I need with my Andrews 54H cams that are fairly mid-range cams with 238/238 duration, and early-opening/late-closing intake valve timing. The Dragula needs a fairly built engine to make its top power - head work, higher CR, etc.
I also installed the Cometic MLS .030" head gaskets to get closer to 92 CCs, and bump the CR a bit, on Frank's strong recommendation. Unless you've done a lot of work to your engine, the S/C/S-4 is probably a better option than the Dragula.
BTW, the new Fullsac X-Pipe "C" is a straight header as well. I think the days of stepped headers for stock or mildly-modified engines are coming to a close... straight headers seem to perform better on "normal" engines...
ALSO... 2-into-1 pipes are more difficult to tune. I have had to dial up the cubic inches on the TTS to 127" so far - and I'm still getting VE numbers above 100. That's not good, because the ECM is having to guess at what the AFR should be in these areas. Still playing with the tune. Probably going to start over with an MT8 map, to be able to play with the EGR settings that are not accessible in an MT7 file....
