MAP NEEDED FOR 07
« on: October 03, 2006, 07:04:17 PM »

Couldn't wait for the Thunder Max so I am putting on a SERT.  We have no dyno tuners in my area.  All I'm doing at first is putting on a K&N Filter (Called to order the Zipper Air Filter and was told it would not fit with my stock SE Road King Cover -- that I would have to go with the football shaped cover).  I'm staying with the stock cover that is why I'm going with K&N Filter.  I have the Vance & Hines true dual headpipes and I'm going with the Vance & Hines Oval Slip-ons.  Any help would be greatly appreciated with MAP information.  I hope to have the bike dyno tuned later this year.  Just need something to get me going.  Thanks, Bud

HD recommends configuration#84 for the 110" motor w/ Stage I A/C and "race" mufflers. I put the V&H ovals on my SE Ultra and it runs great with this set-up.

Stock headers?  I have the V&H true duals and Oval mufflers, wondering how close #84 will be.

I am using the same map until I can get a dyno-tune completed. The only problem I have noticed is excessive backfiring around 2 -2.5k rpm's on decel. I need to tweak the map a bit to eliminate it. Otherwise, it is a great map for what I currently have.

I am running the SERT, Big Sucker air filter, and Vance & Hines Classic slip ons. I started out with map #84 but found it was still very lean. Email me and I will send you my modified map. My email address is TOC-Systems@woh.rr.com

HOGIT,
I also sent you an email for a copy. I would really like to try it compared to #84. What else did you modify / adjust other than fuel values ? Thanks

I sent you a copy of the map. Basically just increased fuel.  I have been running this map for approx. 700 miles and my bike runs much better. Don't get the popping and the plugs have a slight tannish color to them.
