I dropped around $800.00 for the seat. The haze shown on the Russell site(see Magic's post above) is mine. They list the seat cover as baby alligator, it is the quill ostrich. Hence, the added cost.

All that said, I remain very pleased with the seat. The comfort in the ride was worth the coin. Katy will work very close with you to make sure you get the right fit. Each seat is built for the individual. I have had many compliments from the "seasoned riders". The photos do not do the seat justice.

Good luck and safe riding!

Ken

Ken,
I have not been following this thread so did not see your earlier post.  I wondered if the bike belonged to some one here.
I have spent time over the summer looking around for the best option for a seat and have heard a lot of good things about Russell's.  Many say that with Corbin's you will either love it or hate it!  A local seat repair shop that I was refered to by two of our local dealer's said he makes adjustments to a lot of Corbins due to claims they are too hard!  He was the first to refer me to "Day-Longs".  I was going to give up the heated feature but the fact Russell uses our old seat and can keep the "bun warmer" was just another selling point.  Looks like a Corbin "with heat" is over $900!
Did you go with full leather or a vinyl/leather combination?

Magic,
I did go with the full leather. Russell's does a nice job with the stitching.
BTW, your earlier post mentioned too much ostrich. I am sure they will accomodate your personal taste.

No regrets.

I had Corbin do a seat for me early this summer. They did a beautiful job and I've enjoyed about 5000 miles of riding with it. The ostrich panel through the middle of the seat looks factory. Mine is the unheated version. Good to see they've stepped up and are now offering a heated version too.

Do you have any pictures to share with the sma;;er backrest you mentioned earlier??

Thanks!!
