yea I find 75w250/75 heavy but, check that bottle when you get to the house for me if you don't mind, I would hate to buy a case of some chit I can't use, money could go to CHROME!!! thanks twincam ;) ;D
Unlike most lubricants, which clearly label on the front the viscosity the Redline HD Shockproof does not. This is what I found from reading the back of the label (others more knowledgeable of lubricants may better be able to give you the information you desire).

......The ShockProof chemistry significantly reduces the thinning effect of high-temperatures, and can be rated as 75w250 Gear Oil , which provides three-times the viscosity in thin layers between the gear teeth, but has the lower internal fluid friction of an SAE 75W90, which means very little power loss for the protection achieved. ShockProof gear oil has a 40% lower coefficient of friction and 250% the load-carrying capacity compared to conventional gear oils, which means that metal-to-metal friction is greatly reduced.....

Am I the only one here using Bel-Ray Hypoid Gear Oil 85W-140 in the transmission?  Bel-Ray Hypoid Gear Oil 85W-140 is the very same oil as their Big Twin Transmission oil except it is sold in white one liter bottles instead of black one quart bottles.  Since the price is the same for each.......I get more oil for the same money.  No transmission whining or clunk when downshifting.  Great stuff.  And it is red, so if a leak ever develops, it is easy to determine the source.

I have found no difference with the Redline in the Trans over the Amsoil. I may go back to the Amsoil next time. But I will never go back to the SYN 3.

Bagger,

I used the Bel-Ray 85w140 in my last bike ('99 FXDX) to improve shifting and noise at high temps, which it did.

TC-We are using the Shockproof Heavy in our tranny's per Redline's recommendations of their product use.  Also using their MTL in the primary and their 20W50 in the sump.
