Steve G:  You and I have the same bike.  You said you like the Fulsacs with 1.75" baffles.  Do you have stock headers or aftermarket?  If so, what is the name and brand of the headers?
Thanks,

You might want to check out the OE SE mufflers with the fullsac baffles

I was running the Supertrapp w/open cap & 10 disc's. Wasn't crazy bout the sound, but didn't hate it. After talking with 05train several times, decided to go with closed caps, currently at 16 disc's. The best part of the ST's is the infinante possible tuning choices. I usually stay away from 'advertisement' parts, but liked the looks of these better than stainless 'Dery Cover' look. Sound is about the same in loudness, with a slightly deeper tone. So far I'm happy.

Ok thanks guys , I put my Rineharts for sale on here , I'll sell them and get a quieter set ... are the Harley Screamin Eagle 4" stock mufflers worth anything ?? I am not looking for any performance gains, like I said at my ripe old age of 52 the wife and I just want a smooth, semi quiet ride .. If they are OK I might look for a set of really nice take offs ...

with the fullsac baffles they are great.  i'm running the 2.0 inch baffles and they are quiet enough to enjoy the ride, listen to the radio, not have a headache later, etc. but loud enough to give it that 'harley' sound.  and a very economical upgrade to boot.   :2vrolijk_21:

FWIW:
In '08 I put the fullsac conversion on my new bike with the 2" cores. Found them a little too loud for my liking (getting sound bouncing back off my trailer) Went with the 1.75 cores and never looked back.
Those same mufflers ended up on my '09, my '10 and on my '14. They have about 200k miles on them and look great (I kept the heat shields on).
I've had to repack a couple of times, but pleased with the mellow sound and performance.
Gotta say, the exhaust system (x-pipe and mufflers) lasted longer than my last 2 Harleys!

Nice looking caps, now I've got endcap envy!

Glad you found a combination that works for you.  Come springtime, I think I'm going to buy a few more discs and play around with a set of the adjustable LA Choppers end caps.  It's awesome being able to modify sound and flow without having to swap mufflers.

Thanks train, don't know if I would have ever tried closed caps without our back & forth. BTW, cheapest place I have found the disc's was Amazon. Sorry for the minor  :jack:

Stock headers.  The cats are in the mufflers.  When you remove the guts of the mufflers, the cats are gone.
I just love everything about the 1.75" Fullsacs.  For me the sound is just perfect, and I like the looks of the stock exhaust.

Hi guys.  I have the Bub Stealth 7 here on S&S true duels.   Best mufflers so far and love the lowered more muffled sound they produce.
