What an interesting year it has been. Still loving my CVO.
I ride every chance I get. My only exceptions are: A- If I have to get more at the store than the bike can hold. B - If it is raining on the way to work as I don't want to show up wet or deal with the rain suit. Outside of those two exceptions I'm always on it.
I've lost more friends and family in the past year. One friend is alive but hurting after a lady turned left in front of him. I'm still in the wind.
I introduced myself to the local VNVLVMC chapter and was invited to go along on their First Ride of The Year this year. It is about 200 miles round trip and the destination is a GBNF memorial maintained by another chapter. Had I known that was the destination I probably wouldn't have gone just to be respectful. What an experience it was. I met a lot of guys that think like I do. Veterans, a bit crazy and seeking that brotherhood we had in the service. I declare as a hang around this month and hope I can earn my patch within the next 12-15 months.
