"...Oops I did trade for a new SG for the wife on Sunday."

WOW!  Where did you find a dealer that would take your wife in on trade?
That's a dealer that could really see a spike in sales!
(Although, his used inventory will likely get out of hand quickly...)

SMHD, those bastards are so damn greedy they'll do any thing to sell a bike. They did give me some chit about all the miles on the trade in. :)

Well there's a perspective.

I've posted on other threads that those whinning about the Harleys of today should have been riding these bikes before the Evo motor came out.....back in the day when you had to work on them damn near every time you rode them.  Back when you weren't riding a couple of thousand miles without working on them or without dumping a quart of oil in them....back in the day when you carried a slew of "extra" parts because your experience was that you'd lost that part before....back in the day when bailing wire (how many even know what that is today?) was a "must" in the tool kit.....back in the day when you had to have a tool kit.

Just this past weekend, just outside of Parker, Ariz. I stopped to help a couple of gentleman on late model Ultra Classics that were just completing a six state ride and neither of them even had room for the stock OEM tool kit so there they sit on the side of the road for something so simple. :nixweiss:

I've posted on several other threads on this forum recently.......I love this bike!  :2vrolijk_21:

Hehehe!  We didn't have "bailing wire" in WV back then.  All we had was "twine!"  We used what we called 'sploda wire!  Stole it from the Coal Mines.  I remember one time that front bolt came out of the Generator on a '57 Pan I had, and I used that 'sploda wire to get it home.  Twisted it up real tight with a hammer handle and a pair of needle noses.  Good memories.  Now, same as then.  Just a different scale.  If it breaks, I fix it.  If I can't fix it, I load it up and take it to the shop.  Chits gonna' break...............especially if you abuse it.  Always has......always will.  8) Later--HUBBARD

None of us have that much time or paper. I'm just glad they didn't insist on a test ride. :o
