The brake will go all the way down and does not hit the lower wind fairing.
The mounting is exactly like the original and the difference is just in the lever itself.

My concern was not that the end of the pedal would not go down past the end of the running board, it looks like it would without any issue.  My thought was that your foot would come down flat on the running board and there would still be more pedal available.  The only way in my mind, if this is the case, would be to hit the pedal pad with your heel to get the remaining travel of the pedal in an emergency.

I'm sure that in good working order, the pedal stops way above the board, but when the turds hit the rotisserie unit and you need that pinch more, it's not available.

There is probably nothing to worry about and I'm just being paranoid about my thoughts.

I did basically the same thing on my old '76 FLH as the pedal was almost straight up.  I cut my pedal and "V'd" it and re-welded it to a more comfortable position.  I did check to make sure it bottomed in the cylinder before bottoming out on the running board.

The new pedal all chromed up does look VERY nice and would be a great addition to any of our bikes.

Yes I can see your thoughts. I have hit the pedal hard and it does not bottom out or run of range to engage the brakes.

They send instructions with the product as well.  I already called out what was the hardest part for me. But the results are great! I have all kinds of room on the floor board now and the pedal is very easy to reach. The first few times I was putting my foot up high and had some travel to get to the new position but I am used to it now! :)

EZ Brake arrived today as I was installing a new derby cover.   ( Re: 2015 RGU: I'm Blue... So Blue... )  The instructions do not specify but it was helpful to remove the front heat shield.  While trying to insert the  cleavis pin,  I had an EXTREMELY rare moment of brilliance.    :huepfenlol2:    I used a forceps to hold and insert the cotter pin.  Made that very hard to reach task much easier.

I've yet to Road test but under very hard pressure, the brake pedal did touch the lower fairing.  Will have to check that further.

Greg, can you get somebody to snap a pic while you depress the brake pedal as hard as you can?  I think that pic would help to put Dan's concern to rest.....as well as mine.

Thanks a bunch!

I'll try to do that tomorrow, JC.  This EZ Brake model is specific to the "twin-cooled" bikes.  The pedal does not hit the floorboard but if I push as hard as I can, it barely touches the black plastic housing of the radiator.  On the 15's with linked brakes, it should not matter.  Nor should it on the '13s.

I am not having a problem with the pedal hitting anything. I have used the rear brake a lot to test and it is working great. I will see if I can get a pic as well to show what it looks like fully depressed.

I ordered one myself following this thread. Had heard of EZ Brake years ago. I find the standard rear brake peddle damn hard to use compared to my previous Ultra's so am hoping this new peddle will fix the problem.

Ok I was finally able to make a picture. When I fully depress the pedal it does not hit the lower fairing. My lovely wife took the picture and was watching closely. I was leaning on the pedal. I am not sure you can really tell from the picture but I had about 1/4" of space on that tight inside corner.

They have different products for different bikes and years. I am sure they do have something that will fit but go to the website and check it out.
