Yep, been a member for a few years now.  Some of the questions are interesting, some not so much.  However, since I committed to being a part of the advisory committee, I answer to the best if my ability.  I find the ones that inquire how this "widget" makes you "feel" about the brand most comical.  I never figured riding a Harley was a touchy-feely proposition..... ;D

Mine this month was more marketing Oil containers than anything else.
Same here... I could care less what the container looks like... more concerned about the product inside the container and if it is going to do the job/be the best product for the application.... IMO spend more on quality of product then container of the product... container goes in the trash... product goes in our bikes. :nixweiss:

The most recent survey was mostly about the packaging for the engine oil and they wanted to know what color I found to be appropriate. I reminded them that most if not all of us harley riders completely independently from each other go for black t-shirts, black jackets, black chaps, black helmets, black boots, black goggles, etc., etc... So it should be obvious what color bottle will go with our outfits! :) Marketing...MARKETING...

Frankly I did take the survey very seriously. I appreciate being asked what I think about a brand I really care about.

The rest of the survey was more in line with dealers, expectations as a customer, etc...

Surveys are done by Marketing People.  Marketing people believe, truly believe, as in Born Again Islamic Fundamentalist believe, that branding and packaging are the be all end all of a product.  I've sat in meetings with them that have left me the cynical rat bastich icehole that I'm now known and rarely loved for being.  I would bet you if you gave D00d's great answer to a "Black or beige oil container" question face to face with a marketing person they would follow up with "So then you think blue is a better fit to the Harley brand?" :stars:
