My iPhone 6 fits fine.  Not sure if the iPhone 6 Plus would fit.

I don't know what "holder" is being referenced, especially on a batwing. I have an iPhone 6+ and it fits into my glove box on my 15 RG Ultra.

So I was thinking about finding, buying, or making a long USB cable that goes back to a saddle bag or my tour pack. Anybody done this? Or seen a cable like this for sale?

I had success using an USB extension cable. It should be male, female , get it on amazon.

Put one of these in the left glovebox of the '09 SERG, along with a switch that allows the socket to be hot with / without the key, charging stuff while grabbing a bite, while the bike is locked.
