Hey, it's all good!  If I can't take it here on the forum, I sure don't need to be showing up at a GTG!!!!

We live 1,000 km from the nearest Regional centre (and dealership) and 2,500km from the nearest city.

You are truly remote, mate!  Wow!  I'm guessing you do all the work on your bike yourself and that you only get to that dealer rarely if ever!

Those Aussies give a whole different meaning to the word "remote"

Remote...ya betcha... :D Our local friends think nothing of our driveway...our California friends on the other hand   :huepfenlol2:  Half mile of gravel and 1/4 mile+ of uphill gravel.  :nixweiss: We love our little 20 acres of heaven. We never thought anything about the driveway till we heard rumors of California friends talking about it.  :P 3 miles to a main road...Our community doesn't even have a stop light  :2vrolijk_21: 29 miles to a store or even the DQ  ::) Makes a late night snack hard to get. We have laughed at some who say gravel, never under my tires. Or I never ride in the rain...stay out of the Northwest...it's every where.

My wife has a Switchback and we go to the dealership twice a year.

We're riding out in two weeks for new pipes, services and minor upgrades.

2,000 km return trip is a good rideā€¦. 8)

When I leave my house I have 8 miles to decide if I want to go left or right to get food. Either way I go it's another 20 miles.
I have 3.1 miles when I leave my house to decide if I want to go south on river road, 19 miles to the Piggly Wiggly, or north 22 miles to Kroger.  Its almost always to Kroger.

The whole ride either ways is really nice curves and great views of the Lake.
