Dave, welcome aboard.  Maybe you could mention your location and put it in your profile and someone near you can recommend a shop in your area or nearby enough to ride.

Dave,
Welcome to the site & might I add what a great choice of bike you have! What colour to you have?
I can't believe you have been told you will not break the 100hp & 100ft/lb tq mark with out head work. It's true most of us had best part of 100hp / 100tq just with pipes & a good air cleaner.
Even though I have had a few problems myself with a crap SERT tuner, I am nearly there. I will over come my problem in the next few days by changing to a PC III. I ran it on the dyno today & it proved why I wasn't quite breaking the 100hp mark, the SERT tuner I had used previously has left it so rich between 3000 & 4500rpm it was off the scale.(as he does not play with SERTs at all my only option is to go to the PCIII) even though we played around for a couple of hours & leaned it out a bit in the 3000 - 4500 range this seemed to change some other things as well but it did get up to 101hp.  My new Power Commander specialist is certain we can pick up a few more hp & ft/lbs of tq just by making a new custom Power Commander map to run over the top of my crap SERT map which will then have the correct AFR at all times & finally extracting the full potential from my Zippers 575 cam.

Cheers

Dave,

With my 04 SE 103", heads reworked, S&S 585 Cama, SERT rest of engine stock. Rhinehart True Duals.

Before proper tuning bike Dynod at 106 HP & 115 ft lb TQ. Never kept engine long enough to get properly tuned, as I sold it off and put in a reworked (heads) Jims 120. A hell of a lot quicker and more fun to ride.

Dave,

I'm riding an '05 FLHTCSE2, just had a set of Red Shift 577 gear driven cams and a power commander installed. Had a SE A/C and Rinehart True Duals on from day one, the cams made a hell of a difference. They provide power from 2500 to 5500 rpms. Had the shop that did the work check clearance on everything, all good.
They dyno'd the bike at 107 hp and 115 tq. Don't want to mess with heads, the $1,600 was very well spent!!!

I'm real slow gettin' around to posts... With the Arlen Ness Big Sucker, SuperTrapp 2:1, Race Tuner, and a dyno from Cycle-Rama, and that's it, I have 107 hp, 108.5 Tq. Good dyno.  Don't need more.  All I want is for it to hold together, like, for 5 years/80,000. Then maybe I'll think about moving up.

well here goes, I have an 06 FLHTCUSE  , with Power commander PCIII, with an advanced map, revextend enabled,Doherty power pacc w/powervents(super EFI model)a 50MM Harley screaming eagle EFI, A  set of the newer style Rinehart's...bike made tremendous torque and power above 3500 RPM..i meant it pulled like crazy, was disappointed at first with the every day lower RPM driveability, it felt soggy, but tolerable to a point, until I contacted the guys at Big City Thunder and added a simple device into my head pipe, that gave me some backpressure, it a wonderful and inexpensive product, that brings the TORQUE back!!, Made the bike even sound better, wish I would have dyno'd the bike before and after, it now pulls hard from 2400 up to around 4000 RPM. increadable flat torque range...the numbers were 103 hp and 112 torque...all this with NO cam, or head work, just damn fun to scoot on, I think any bagger with Rinehart true duals would fall ilove with this product!!

Air cleaner, Thunderheaders, Power Commander, and Freedom Cams: 104 HP, 116 Ft Lbs.  Heads have never been off of the bike...
[/b]

I'll buy that. I have seen those numbers many times. Tak to your mechanic if he is willing to do your build OUR way without changing the heads then have him call Zippers or Freedom.
