One more thing, I don't want to argue with anyone but given enough time any bra will dull paint.
That's what I was afraid of. :( Guess I'll just have to remain a "liberated" rider. ;D

Maybe the 08 seat will fit better!

Try removing the rear mounting screw and push seat forward, if that closes the gap drill new holes on the mounting tab under the seat to move tab back. I realise you shouldn't have to do this on a 30k plus bike, but I've had to adjust the seat on most bikes I've owned...Sid

Great suggestion! I'll try it. Don't want to come una$$ed at 70MPH!! :o :o :o

Mine doesn't look like that, there has to be something wrong somewhere.   :nixweiss:

Maybe it's a function of driver weight.  I noticed a gap forming on mine last week after 7 months and 5,200 miles.  I weigh 230 lbs.  With 18k on your bike and no gap, Reggab, my guess is you're a bit lighter than I.   :cherry:

You could be on to something there about the weight of the rider. I'm 245 so maybe my fat a$$ just pulled it out of shape. Gotta lay off the ice cream.  :o ::) ::)

The 07 CUSE2 has the same seat gap problems.
Tweaking the support tang under the seat will help the problem a little.
I agree about having a 34K bike,and a piss poor seat arrangement.

I had the same problem with my 06 and my 07, two different things can cause this, number one, the front seat tongue does not sit in its pocket, you will swear it is secure, but you may find that the two connectors for the heated seat prevent it from dropping in, which gives you that gap.  A simple test involves removing the two plug harness, the single connector sits in the frame a few inches down, take it out and test fit the seat. I think you will be pleasantly suprised.

Sorry, part two involves the fore and aft movement of the fuel tank, if you carefully loosen the the three mounting bolts, you may find a quarter to three eighths of an inch to close the gap.
