Certainly it is air-cooled.  In the end every engine is, the difference is how that heat is removed from the engine and transfered to the air; water does a better job at moving heat from the hot spots to the cooler spots.  With a "liquid cooled" one there is one more step involved, but eventually it ends up as metal to air heat transfer in the radiator.  Liquid-cooled engine running hot?  Stick an oil cooler on it.
