Beautiful bike, congrats!! I too have found my SERK to be sooooo enjoyable that there have been a couple times I didn't want to stop riding. Was up here in the Adirondaks (up by the high peaks region) and felt like I could go forever, taking in the fall colors. My wife however takes exception with the seat and I will have to pick up a set of adjustable passenger boards to increase the WAF. Good luck and safe riding.
Howie
First, thanks to all the kind comments on the new bike.
Howie, for my build and how I sit on the bike, I find the stock SERK seat better than the Mustang 16" / 12" I have on the '76 FLH. But, and there's always a but, the passenger part of the stock seat is less than she would like. I hate to lose the Reptile print that now matches the TourPak as well, so it's going to be a hard sell for me to replace the stock seat.
I asked her about running boards for the rear and she said that she likes the look of pegs, at least on the RK versus the UC. She has some trouble staying straight up with the lower foot pegs and tends to slide forward on the seat. Every now and then she has to readjust herself a bit.
The brakes on this are soooo smooth and effortless, especially compared to my old FLH with just the old single piston single caliper brakes.
The only complaint I have right now is the clutch. It grabs just off the bar and has taken a bit longer to get used to it. If it's that touchy on the adjustment, that's probably why I've hear guys on here complaining about finding neutral when stopped. I still don't have my service manual, due to ship late November I've been told. Once I have that I'll probably do an adjustment inside the derby cover.
Has anyone actually gone to a parking lot and played with the ABS brakes yet? I'll probably do that next spring, but for now I'll just wait until I need them.
I also installed the flush mounted gas cap and fuel guage. I have an issue with the gas cap being flush with the trim ring. I rotated the trim ring all around and it never did fit any better. So right now the cap sticks up at about 4:00. It still looks better than the stock cap and guage, but it should fit better than this.
Back to the bike. I just love this thing. When I'm on it I can't stop smiling from ear to ear. Can you guys tell I'm pumped?

? The cruise works great. The throttle seems to be pretty close to following the movement of the twist grip. It may lag just a bit, but it's okay to get used to.
The paint work is just great. The sun REALLY makes this thing stand out.
Okay, I'm rambling now.
Thanks again guys.
