Funny how everyone on the other side of the pond moves their plate up and over here we move our plate down. I keep waiting for someone over there to go radically opposite of skycuse2 and mount one on top of the pack!
Well, trapperdog, now you mention it, thats not such a bad idea!!.....j/k  ::)  Its just that the large blank plate under the tourpack looks so wrong when you come upon the bike from behind. I tried putting a 'dummy' plate on it with a logo, but it did'nt really help. [Over here it's not legal to move them up, but the Gárdaí don't always pick up on it  ;D
Thanks for that pic Louis, I kinda fixed my mind on that one a little while ago (P/N 91067-07 I think), but a few people have found them to be a bad fit

Bad fit? Technically - do not worry, it fits well on the SEUC. Design - I do like it. It can be painted white, but with the LED light being chrome, I left it as is.
Ride safely,
Louis

Hoops, Yea I agree. If you go with a detachable TP it eliminates the ugly plate though. But then you will want to get rid of the amp, install Hawg wired amps and speakers. It's a great way to go but many$$$ and one thing always leads to another. Or maybe you were talking about the big ugly lower plate/ Do you have any ride pics in Ireland posted around here? Got to be beautiful country out there!

Today, I've mounted the end rear fender on my '08....

See that you have Nostalgic Guard Rail (90839-94A), did you also change to Filler Strip Chrome Slotted (45896-98) ?

Looks like you've found your solution "with a little help from your friends".

On my '05 SEEG I always wanted to move the plate up under the tour pack... Living in Toronto and having to deal with HWY. 407 ETR (Electronic Toll Route).  All my buddies riding their deckers never get billed for travelling on the highway cause the camera can't pick up their plate nicely tucked under the tour pack and I get nailed everytime.

However, with me loving the look of the bike minus the quick release tour pack, I guess this is a small price to pay for style.

In your case however, that's a rather large plate and I don't blame you for wanting to clean up the back end of the bike.  It looks a lot better tucked up out of the way.

Take care & ride safe,
Grizzly
