I thought it was the battery on the original fob that was lost/found, replaced the battery and it did not work, then I asked for the third fob (the found one) to also be programmed to the bike and that is when I found out the bike only accepts 2 fobs and no more.

The fob battery is common.  I purchased my replacement batteries at the local Walgreen pharmacy...   :2vrolijk_21:

There we go!  And that is why I love this forum...common sense prevails!!  Thx, Steve.

Battery may test 2 volts ... but still won't work the FOB, it needs a full (new) 3 volts to work it,  is what I discovered ... but i could be wrong ...

Had new batteries installed at Hal's H-D in Milwaukee while out for Summerfest. Once in a while when I hopped on the bike the alarm would chirp once even with both FOBs present. That chirp caused the Pavlovian sphincter clench if you now what I'm sayin'.

No chirps since the new batteries.

The fobs can be purchased from dealer...

Replacement/Additional Remote Control Water-Proof Key Fob P/N 68926-00
Fits models equipped with H-D® Factory Security System, North America.

MSRP US $39.95

I think the dealer has to sync it to your bike/alarm system though. :nixweiss:

I ordered this one, and it turns out to be the wrong one for the '08 FLHRSE4 'Hands Free' security system.  Actually needed the Part # 68926-07, referenced later in this thread.  I should have double checked.  But, alas, it will work for my '04 Road King, so I will just keep it...so all is not lost!

Sorry about that I thought you realized that when you posted this..

Looks like you are both correct.  I suppose it makes sense...otherwise some nefarious neanderthal would be riding around on our CVO for $39.95 after synching in the WalMart parking lot.  If you either of you see a guy on side of road, standing next to his FLHSE4 while emptying out his wallet on the ground...  well, at least 'wave'!    Steve.

Glad you can still use it on your other bike.  :2vrolijk_21:

Crap...I should not have written my post that way!  I had one FOB for my '04 RK go bad...I meant to say it was 'fortuitous' to have ordered this one.  I could easily return it, but I really need the back-up.  All is well!  Steve.

Yes, easy to get, just far away for you.   Wonder why the fob is not intergrated into the big a$$ key? Hate those things, too big!!
