That's Mobil 1 times five quarts.  He must use it in the primary too :confused5: .

I don't know.  Been passing a kidney stone all weekend.  I'm making stuff up and seeing things at this point.  Good meds may not make it feel better, but they can make you not care part of the time.

Been there, done that... and never wanna again.. They must of not given you the good stuff. They gave me five Oxy's and man i was pissed when i ran out..  :bananarock:

Mine has also been making the same noises at the same RPM ( 2800 to 3200 ) Last short ride it was a lot louder and the bike had a severe vibration at those same rpm. I do not mean a "they all do that "vibration, but rather an extremely serious vibration that comes on very noticeably at 2800 RPM. Don't think I''l ride it again untill I can get a fix. i would really like to find a broken mount as we have had no info up here on the proposed fixes. I also believe the idle shake is noticeably  greater also, but that may be just " 110 nerves. >:(

Mine did the same thing and it was the motor mount so you might want them to check that since it's going in the shop anyway
Thanks for the heads up on the motor mount. I will ask them to check it.

Thanks to all for the replies. I checked the mounts and all OK. just read another post about the short pistons possibly being the culprit. This theory makes sense as when under heavy throttle I don't hear a rattle.
I guess I'll keep riding it like it's stolen, till it blows up. Then I'll call S&S for a heat transplant.

You can't replace it with anything but HD or Jims cases, starting with the '06 Dyna and all '07/'08's! You can get a Jim's 120 or 131, or build an engine using HD cases. If you go that route, do a Timken conversion and use S&S or Jims crank for your new bottom end. Then you'll have to decide what you want the top end to be, and how large. If you're rebuilding, I'd work with a reputable engine builder. A new Jim's 120 is the cheapest way out. ;)
