I finally got a chance to see some 09's yesterday. GREAT looking bikes. HOWEVER, I can't help but wonder what problems will pop up like all new bikes have. If you buy the SERK, you will have something that only a few will have and the bike is already 95% of the way chromed out. IF you were to buy the Classic, what would you do to it? Make a list of the parts you would put on it and then see if those parts are on the SERK. It's better to pay up front for everyting now than to be 5 and dimed later!

But you'll never get that 17" Wide rear and 18" front setup on these SERK's. Making that mod alone would cost ya the difference between the 2 bikes! Then there's all the other goodies!

Check to see if your finacing, I think HD is offering 3.99% on all remaining 2008 bikes. With 2k under msrp & 3.99% that would be a big savings.

HD will finance up to 84 months. Personally i would buy the SERK, you would be getting only 1 of XXXX built whereas the stock RK they build bunches of. Also you wont see that many SERK on every corner when your riding. I own the Anniversary SEUC myself & always get complients on it everywhere i go... But always comes down to your decision, dont let this forum sway anyway.... Its your money & you have to happy with the decision & we cant make it for you.

I called another dealer and they said thier was no special financing on any bikes right now

I read somewhere, can't remember where, that they were offering special financing on remaining 08's, they didn't diclaimer it by saying CVOs weren't included.  Just another big difference between the 08 SERK and the 09 RK, you get the 110 engine with the SERK over the 96 on the 09.  Who knows what you'll have to have done to the engine, maybe nothing, but you'll definitely be getting the 110 over the 96.   Go with the SERK.

Great price and surprised no one has not snatched that up. Only 1800 made ya know. They are very hard to come by in my neck of the woods. Of course I love the color. I still added around 3k more to mine.

What did you expect?....this is a CVO site

if you buy a RK  18K and spend another 8K getting it where you want it.......worth only 14K after 4 years
buy CVO for 27K   mostly done but let say you spend 2K and it will be probably worth 19K after 4 years
lose an extra 2K on the standard and you had a reg bike those 4 years.....cost of ownership lower on cvo if you skip the cost of monies

The CVO is  just more fun.........

I would agree about the colors but , more people compliment on the color scheme and that helps me get over it
