My ONLY concern is if the Kuryakyn bracket will hold up. Will the vibration and general road abuse break the two tabs? I do have a second bracket that came with my light bar that I could mount behind the plate as a backing plate. Than again that doesn't have any more meat around the bolt holes but does offer some structural support.
Puzzled,

Good concern, I came back from Flagstaff this past weekend and noticed the plate was loose, after a closer look when I got home the tab had broken off from one side. I'm going to put it back where it was. I did bend it forward a bit to match the line of the fender so maybe I stressed it. Better take a look at  yours just to be safe.

Mine broke already. It is somewhere between Pittsburg and Stroudsburg, Pa. I threw something together a little heavier for the new plate. I'll see how this one holds up before I machine something that will tear the fender off first!

I'm curious to see what you came up with. I have the welders at our shop working on fixing mine. They said they can make it better than new, I'm sure I'm going to have to have it rechromed.
