I've had someone looking out for me for a very long time. When I was a little boy, I had climbed to the top of a tree in the front yard. I was in the top and fell about 40 feet head first. My heal caught in a fork in one of the branches at the very bottom. There I was hanging upside down with my head less than 3 feet from the ground. As a teenager we were at a friends cabin on the lake. We all were pretty drunk and I decided I was going to ride home in the bed of a PU truck of a friends that was sober. At the last minute someone asked me to get out of the truck and stay there at the cabin. My friend made it 2 miles from the cabin and someone crossed the line and he was forced with off the road were his truck flipped into the woods. He and his girlfriend were unhurt because they had their seatbelts on. I have made 2 trips off the side of 129, one was at triple digit speeds with not even a scratch one me and rode the bikes home once we got them back up the mountain. Finally, this past Friday I had taken a sick day from work, stayed home and detailed the bike. I later got out and rode and ended up on the west side of town which is extremely busy around rush hour. I told myself not to go down this one particular road but did anyway. A SUV driver looks me in the eye and then pulls out in front of me. I swerve to miss him and I am so close to the front end I could have checked his air pressure for him. So are their angels, without a doubt!
