FWIW, my parts were ordered back in September and took 5 weeks to come in for the recall.

My business partner and I both have 08 Ultra's and have been on TWO dealers lists for OVER TWO MONTHS and they keep saying back ordered from Harley.  This is total BS.  I am so glad I spent $35K for a hunk of s*@t :2vrolijk_21:

It just sounds kinda strange that they're claiming the improvement kits are backordered. My dealer had all my parts for the kit before I even got the letter for the upgrade. They're still sitting on a shelf w/my name on it. I'm only waiting til end of November because they're busy and shortstaffed. I'm now worried that I'll also need a starter because mine is now making a hellacious grinding noise once in a while and that will probably be the one part that is backordered for a month or so :-\

Same here. I went to my dealer after I read about the campaign on this site and they ordered the parts which showed up in three days. While my bike was down for the body repairs they did the engine work. It seems to be running fine so far.

Just had mine done at the Dealership in Newcastle England.  Parts took three weeks to arrive from the US of A. I also got a set of Monster Ovals, Fuel Pack and Airfilter fitted and the same time.  Stage 1 in effect!  Got just over 5K miles on the clock, the Bike ran good before and runs even better now.  I must be one of the lucky ones!  Nock on more wood!!
Weather is lousy now in the UK with salt and crap on the roads, so thats likely to be it until spring 09, bike in hibernation! :mango: :drink:

Ride safe

New Seat because leather is flaking off around stiching.

Please, do you've a pic ? I'm concerned, too. The '08 seat is not so good quality than '07.

Thanks
Jacques

Jacques,
I will get a picture for you because my local dealer took the pictures and has been fighting with Moco for over 2 months to get it authorized.

I have about 2800 miles on the 07 since the "PIP" was completed.  Running fine. Biggest improvement is the new rocker boxes.  That is a "PIP".

I know that 2800 miles is a small sample, but so far so good.
