Not good - means you are damaging your hearing.  Wish I'd been smart enough to wear ear plugs years ago.  Maybe I would have saved some of my hearing.

What?  ;D

No only half of it's behind me the other half is in front of me.

I spent a career surrounded by screaming gas turbine engines, whirling rotor blades, aerial and ground weapons fire, explosions, and various other loud and sudden "noises."  I have tinnitus in both ears.  My hearing is terrible.  My two most spoken words each day are "say again."

And I wore hearing protection except when things just happened unexpectedly.

All that aside.........my ears and head buzz after riding a bike equipped with BUB products........even though it is behind me.

It is what it is.   :)

Actually the biggest noise problem on motorcycles is the wind.  Except of course in Hoist's case since he travels at mach 1 +, lol.

You know, people warned me about this site but I tried.  I wasn't bragging about where I've been, because I've been there too.  Thank God for us.  IT IS WHAT IT IS....

No one is.

My hearing is shot, but BUBs operate in a frequency range that is bothersome to me; that's all.

Yeah......so am I.......but that's OK........it don't matter none.

Anywho................

As for duals, I tolerated a set of V&H Dresser Duals with Rush 2.25" slips with no problems.  Bike is coming back to me with a Fatcat.  Was in the dyno chamber with it last Saturday.  Sponge earplugs and ear muffs.  Not too bad.  Figured it would be fine, since I've ridden Ken's bike.

i have the rineharts too, and they are loud.   i have another bike that i'm thinking about re-doing the exhaust. someone one here told me they are using the v-h dual head pipes with the stock touring mufflers.  he says its not too loud for him and he is very happy with that set up.   im thinking of trying that out too,,, be nice to hear the stereo without calling hawg-wired for a change.
