One thing I forgot to mention.  If you are unfamiliar with a touring bike, then I think you did the right thing in buying a good used one.  Hopefully the previous owner would have spent his hard earned money on it already!  Good luck and welcome!

Thanks, I really got a deal I could not pass up.  I had a Heritage Softail Classic for several years, rented an Ultra in Florida about a year ago and that was it.  I sold my bike last spring, had a baby shortly after that, and then bought myself this one for Xmas.  It will be here in a couple of weeks.

I saw a list earier today of accessory recommendations people had, harley and not harley, and I cannot find the list again now.  Any ideas as to where it would be or do you know who has it?  Thanks again.
