2007 DVO Ultra Classic
« on: January 05, 2009, 08:57:21 PM »

Just purchased a used 2007 CVO ultra.  I am not familiar with the touring bikes that much, especially with the 110 engine.  Does anyone have any good advice as far as add on options or things I may want to keep an eye on or look for on the bike?  Thanks.

Has the campaign been done yet with the cylinder heads ? If not have the dealer run your
Vin # to check.

Follow the link in my signature to see the SEUC² registry. You may find some info on you bike there. If not, leave a post with as much info as possible for us to update it.
You haven't told us what type of mods or upgrades you'd like done. Any particular feature or area?

My advice "start drinking heavily" of course just don't ride while doing so.

Welcome Robonel,

You haven't really said whether you're looking for performance, bling or what?  One of the first things I was concerned about was safety, so I upgraded to LED brake and turn signal lights.

See you on the road!

Robonel,

One thing I forgot to mention.  If you are unfamiliar with a touring bike, then I think you did the right thing in buying a good used one.  Hopefully the previous owner would have spent his hard earned money on it already!  Good luck and welcome!

Yes, the dealer told me the campaign had just been done in December of  last year.  Thanks.

Yes, I have already researched the LED lights for the rear for safety.  I do not care as much about the performance knowing the 2 in to 1 is the best, but I am looking for the better look and sound.  Thanks again.

I have SEUC2 love it. Bought new July 07. It’s not been a perfect bike but what is? That’s part of the fun in owning a Harley is trying to make it perfect. After 1000 miles I put an HD race tuner and Rinehart pipes, stage one air cleaner. The rear head gasket started leaking at 7500 mls. The stealer put the new and improved Gasket on and at that time I put a new rear tire and also put the IDS on. At 11700 miles I had the 0905 campaign done. At the same time I sent the new heads out to Heldreth Performance and had them ported and polished. Did not have them decked. Put gear drive TW7HG woods cams in. Heavy duty springs. I was looking to get a cooler running motor and a little more Torque. 1500 miles so far I like it. Seem to run real nice. It’s been real wet and cold in Seattle.
121.49 Torque and 107.77 Horses. I think with a new TB could get more but its fine for now. Have fun with your new scoot!!! And enjoy the site. I have been in the back ground for awhile. There is a lot of good information on this site. ENJOY.
