Happy to report got the bike back from the dealer yesterday and what a difference a new(Correct) download and re-tune does for the motor. The dealer where I purchased the bike had installed an 07 international download on my compute and tweaked from there. My local dealer downloaded an 08 download and re-tuned and this bike has never run as strong as it does now. For a basic 110 motor it is developing 90hp with 108ft/lbs of torque. No more noises and lots of pull!! Many items replaced on bike under warranty and the only issue is the paint flaking off motor. This dealer will not touch it up and has pushed back on Moco to fix the paint issue on the motor. Time will tell?? My thoughts of other motorcyles have gone by the wayside.
What changed to get rid of the rattle from 2700-3000 in all gears. Mine has the same rattle but is not as loud after the recall but I still hear it.

What my dealer did was download a whole new mapping on my SERT. It is running better than it ever has since the day I bought it. This did away with my start issue but it still has a slight rattle but very strong and I can live with that. I have a whole new bike now!! ::) ::)

Well I spoke to soon about my Start Issue being resolved. It has been starting good for the last two weeks since I had it re-mapped and Dyno'd and then this week for three days in a row after it sits at work all day it grinds and pukes through the intake. This is a real mystry to me and my dealer says they have no idea what's causing it to start doing this again. The bike is running awesome but this Start Issue is getting to me. If I go to a Chrome Heavy Duty Starter and heavier gauged cables on the battery and starter will this problem go away???????  :beatdeadhorse:

No, unless the starter is actually causing the problem, but I doubt it is. I'd suspect the ACR's before going any further. Also, the tune could be affecting the way you're starting up.

And if the dealer's scratching his head, take it somewhere else! This chit ain't rocket science. But it takes dedicated knowledgable people to properly troubleshoot and repair these things! ;)

Hoist this was happening before the tune and when I took it in they never where able to duplicate the start problem. That really blew my mind!!!! Then when I get it back it runs awesome and it starts good for 3 weeks and now it just started doing it again. Can a ACR be intermittent?

Yes it can. The wiring could be shorting intermittently. Or the ACR's could be sticking. They're supposed to replace the ACR system under the EP. Did you get an Enhancement letter? Still sounds like it's the ACR's to me. ;)

In regards to your seat issue. Mine seemed like it was wearing along the stitch line as well. Have owned bike less than a year.
Dealer took photos and uploaded to MoCo. They replaced the seat last week. $899 warranty item. New seat seems alittle different,
possibly not as much "bucket" for the operator, still a good-looking comfortable seat though. Seat heating element works great.
When I first noticed the wear, I thought maybe my heavy denim pants plus my weight (over 200) was just too rough for the soft leather.
Dealer disagreed and said wear was indeed abnormal and sought to have the seat replaced. We will see if it happens again. I have a

John T glad to hear your dealer got the seat replaced. I just got my Kasper back Sat after being in the Black Hole for over a week. I finally had all my warrent work completed except the flaked powder coating on the oil filter housing and right top engine case. They handed me a bill for over $4200.00 dollars in warranty repair. Now if all goes well for a couple of days I am going to stay clear of the dealer!!!!!!!!! 8) 8)

I think there were fitment changes from the '07 seats to the '08 but don't know if the topside cover changed.  Anyway my '07 had the same problem and finally got seat replaced under warranty about 1 year ago.  Well the new seat is doing the very same thing and couple friends with '07s are also.  Hope your new seat holds up but my confidence level is not high.

My dealer has them. I will try to see if he can email them to me. Hopefully he hasn't deleted them.
I must admit, I have had a few "troubles" with my bike since I've had it as in powertrain leaks, pinging,
seat, radio, power bag locks, security system, etc. So far, dealer has stepped up to the plate and has
been successful in repairing these items. Although iritating at times, key for me is to try and settle down
and be friendly and understanding with the dealer, let them work out the problems with their product.
So far, this has worked for me. Plus, my previous bike was a '82 shovelhead. Seemed like something
broke on it everytime I rode it. (I ride pretty hard) So, I'm very used to problems with Harleys. Compared
to my old Shovel, this bike has been very reliable overall...
