Mobe, did you buy the IDS mufflers with the tapered end cap and just put the stock end cap on it?  I guess that means you could use any Harley or Supertrapp end caps?   How are they power-wise (I'm assuming you have a SE or Ness A/C and either SERT or PC III)?

To add to the already crowded list of mufflers, I just got my 06 J&P catalog and noticed that Rinehart now has slip ons for OEM sized headers. They have two sets. One looks just like the true dual muffler, the other is called "eagle beak" and that's what it kinda looks like.

jdracing; I just ordered the tapered cap supertrapp IDS slip ons and took the end caps off of my stock mufflers. Everything lines up perfect but it only uses one bolt. So any end caps that will fit our stock mufflers will work. I tried the end caps off of my screamin eagle 2 piece slip ons and they will NOT fit. They are slightly smaller in diameter than the end caps for the stock mufflers.

Thanks Mobe.  If the Samsons prove too loud, I'm going to take a hard look at the Supertrapps.  Had them on my Yamaha FJ1200 for 10 years and loved them.

Jeff, even with the stock rear Y-pipe, my left cover hits on the way off.

You know, Brian, I don't think I ever even tried that before I changed pipes.  Thanks for the info.
