I bought my 03 SERK used (in 2007 with 7K)and it had 7year unlimited mileage warranty that was transferable. It's paid off for me. Clutch and clutch basket went at 10k in 2007. Also i am getting cam tensioner replaced now under warranty. I think its paid for itself...just my .02.

I've never purchased an extended warranty.  Do many of you feel it's really worth it?  I've always thought that after a year or two most things should be ok to go.  If not and it's out of warranty I'd probably fix it myself.  What are your thoughts on it?  Do enough of you think it's worth it?
My thoughts on it are kind of like any other insurance-if everyone needed it, it would cost a lot more.

I started buying ESP's on vehicles and electronics (computers, stereos, etc) several years ago. I have yet to take a lose on an ESP. In fact, I've saved money on everyone I ever bought.

This is espeially true for used vehicles. CarFax notwithstanding, you can never know how a used vehicle has really been treated. There is a reason that the previous owner traded it away. Sooner or later, something important is likely to fail.

100K-mile warranties on all my vehicles and 7-year warranties on my Harleys. If I trade them earlier, I cash them in.
