I've ordered a Clearview recurve, but 9.5" as I want to be able to look over it.

Thanks Trot.

Jon

Hey Jon,
I have the 9.5 Clearview recurve and I'm 6' 2".  It's awesome!
I see bugs coming at me and they swoop right over me with the wind draft from the recurve.

That's reassuring as I was bothered I'd got it too short -I'm 5' 10".

im 6 foot got the 9,5 recurve still buffets then went with 10.5 inch recurve still buffets then i just went with the standard harley windshield and no buffet. I hear alot of praises for the recurves but ive got two that didnt do the job.  I just wanted to be able to see without the buffeting bluring my vision.

Hi all

Took my FLHTCSE4 "Big Bertha" for her first real ride today, did about 120 miles of mixed roads.  More in love than  ever, really smooth.

Noticed a few negatives:

1.  The screen creates a fair amount of turbulence, it's the right height as I can see over it, but there was a lot of wind noise and buffeting at about 75mph and was quite noisy down at 55/60mph.  Any ideas.

2. Some of the roads up here in Cumbria are not that great, noticed a bit of a clunk from the back over one bit of bumpy road - do you think the rear suspension may have bottomed out? Check air pressures?

3.  Almost impossible to get into neutral at standstill once warm and sometimes the change was a bit stiff - just needs its running in?

Don't get me wrong, I loved the ride - the buffeting and helmet noise was probably the worst bit - my helmet is a Schuberth C2 which is a quiet helmet.

Truly, madly, deeply

Jon

Yup, a 16" German Howitzer from WW1 named after Bertha Krupp.  Could be heard in England across the Channel when it was fired in France so the legend goes.

I think.
