Well after seeing the bike and coming back a few times to look again. I like it. The one thing I wish was different was to have the hard bags on her. I have never been a fan of leather bags on a touring bike. Now I wish the Motor Company would have produced a O/B Road King back in 04. Keep up the good work.

Yeah I wish I had some hard bags too...If I get some, I am thinking about doing some cool lower extensions to hug the exhaust.

I thought HD made the roadking in orange and black...I guess my mind fails me...seems like they should have.

No they did not but you are right they should. Get some hard bags on that bike. I am chomping at the bit to buy another O/B and do the same ride.

Gary it took me a couple of days till I decided I liked it. I don't like the soft bags I would love to see this set up with the hard bags. I think it would look really good. But what do I know it's ORANGE and BLACK!!!!!!  :pumpkin: :oops:

I know doing what I did to my bike is kinda...sac-religious to some...but it was cheaper...and in my neck of the woods..faster. It took some time for me to decide on the bags...or just put chrome "brutto" shock covers and ride naked (no bags that is)...then it was hard to decide to paint the whole bag orange..then cut of the straps...and try to copy the scallop in black and silver ..just like the hard bags....I thought it might of been overkill...but who knows..I might to it next month if i get bored...

Hey....just incase one of you guys get a squirrelly hair...and want topaint some leather or bags....this is what worked for me...

1. Autozone spray can vinyl/leather adhesion helper...a few coats get absorbed pretty quick
2. Dupli-color upholstery/vinyl silver paint(autozone)...light mist it on first..wait a while..then a heavy coat...
3. Here is where a get a few blank looks.....Autozone Chevy Orange engine enamel...light mist...then a heavy coat.

Paint matches PERFECT...I tried it without the silver base coat and the orange is slightly darker.'

So there you go...Just think of some nice matching silver/orange leathers...or custom seat to seperate u from the rest.



Now that's what I call making lemonade out of lemons!  Wildly different look.  I agreee with DCFireman on the hard bags though and get yourself a chrome cover for the handlebar clamps!

I am putting my bike up 4 sale...I need the money...

What do you guys think is a good price for a bike that has been sum-what altered/wrecked?

This bike has a texas non-repairable title...I know some folks get it titled in other states with no problems...some get bonded titles from other states as well..

NOt sure tho...I was in the process of getting a texas ASCv assembled vehicle title...But like I said...toy has to go...bills to pay/

So what you guys say would be a fair price to put on her?...I apprecaite the input.

I gotta tell ya it looks more road king with FLHTCSE paint than it looks a 04 FLHTCSE.
Wheels, floating rotors, driver floorboards in addition to the obvious fairing and bags missing.
Is it a CVO or is it a Road King with a silver motor???

definitely a CVO...I have the broken bags and front fairing..along with scraped crashbar lower covers.(all have the orange/black/silver pinstrip).. FLHTCSE...VIN stamped and stickered match title.

I just got a chrome nacelle and some roadking bags and added them for a different-economical look.

So...what you guys think would be a fair price having mentioned the above as fact? Again...thanks for your guys input
