I still have them, Still have the original on my own bike as well that has not come off. I used Pematex Silicone adhesive to hold it on.
But you have to RIDE your bike for it to fall off  ;D  (:oops: that one's going to cost me at my next service)

Naw, Jim's the man. He's heading on vacation so I figured I could razz him.  How about; Jim spends so much time working on all of our bikes out here in Ca. that he rarely has time to ride.  :-Xyup, that's the ticket. Let me know how it holds though.  :)

Fitment is only for 99-06 FLH. I had done these a year or so ago for $45 shipped, I need to check pricing but should be around there. I will PM you my number......

Where do you get the 3M adhesion promotor?

Is it a tape?

The adhesion promotor is an alchohol based cleaner. It is primarily used for preping surfaces for use with 2- sided tape. Most auto paint supply houses will carry it. The 90+ % rubing alchohol works very good as well.
