@Larry:

maybe ABS-software-update was meant  ;)

@Highjagger:

so let's hope they learn fast - try to get one of the later dyno-dates  ;)

TTS hands down, I has a couiple of extra tables that let the tuner really dial the bike in better and they say that when the HD digi tech scans the system that it can't tell if you have a tuner..... We'll see on that one, gotta get an ABS upgrade to the Ultra and will get a print out like i did on the RG. I showed Tuner but it's a SEST...Stay tuned. I'll post the sheet

From my understand, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, the SERT was made by TTS and DID leave it's mark on the ECM.  I have the older (TTS) SERT on my 07 SEUC and will have the new Super SERT put on my SESG.  Regardless of what your dealer told you, the MoCo does not have to honor the warranty if it is proven that the SERT caused the problem/failure.  Read the caution on the SERT "This is for race applications only".  That's how they get around it.

But what should happen with a Supertuner installed , the bike runs not so lean and the engine is running cooler , better i guess , so there is no argument against the supertuner and the supertuner won`t cause any damage , all features of the motormanagement will furhter be available .

actually, the supertuner (as the old SERT) will not be "installed" on your bike. It's just some software and a cable providing access to the ECM to reprogramm it. But with this item you can (and have to, that's what the item is for) change air-fuel-ratio and among other settings timing. Changing timing to the wrong side may very easily cause severe damages in comparatively short time.

It's the same as with guns: the gun itself is perfectly harmless. Dangerous is the unskilled or evil intended person who uses it.

Red Devil,

Both the SERT and the new Super SERT will leave a footprint on your ECM. Only the TTS Master Tune allows you to save and later reload the original factory calibration back into the ECM which has the effect of leaving no footprint of any tuning history. FYI. if you still have the '07 bike you can upgrade your original SERT to the current TTS Master Tune for $100.  You'll have to start from scratch on the SESG.

That`s clear , and that`s the reason why i do not do this on my own , the technical master at the dealer will do this tuning , and so i will have the warranty for his work and the follows .
This is the only official Harley allowed way of tuning this bike ( so far as i know and have been said ) , and therefore i should be on the right and safety side , whether it is the optimum or whether there may be a more efficiency or cheaper version is out of interest at this point of time ( for me ) .
